Treatment of Mallet finger

Abstract
Mallet finger is a common injury which affects young adult males or middle-aged females. This injury is usually accompanied by pain and sometimes by incapacity for the patients. Although a wide variety of treatments have been described, none is effective or satisfactory. If treatment is not given, the eventual disability is slight; there will be some loss of
voluntary extension of the distal joint, but flexion will be complete and grip will be normal. So it is importatnt that treatment should be conservative, simple, effective, safe, free
from complications and should not lead to loss of earnings.
This paper is attemped to review the treatments of mallet finger with brief references.
